To Consolidate Comments from a Document

You can consolidate comments from within a document itself, in AssetWise CONNECT Edition. Consolidation is the last step it the comment review workflow process.

You can also consolidate comments from within a workflow, which allows you to consolidate comments or multiple documents at once. To consolidate comments from within the workflow, see Consolidating Comments from the Workflow.

Follow these tasks to consolidate selected comments for a specific document while on the workflow.

Open the workflow from which you want to consolidate comments.
Accept the consolidation task by doing one of the following:

From the Tasks menu, select Accept

or
From the workflow footer, click Accept.
Select the Comments tab. This tab lists all comments for the document.
Expand the document for which you want to approve a subset of documents.
Select the comment(s) that you want to approve.
From the Comment Actions menu, select Approve selected. For example,

All file attachments on the original reviewer's comments are automatically copied to the approved comment. The Consolidator may then remove some or all of the copied file attachments as well as add new ones.

Note: Approved comments are full copies of the original source reviewer's comments. This allows the approved comment to be modified as required by the consolidator, while keeping the original content preserved. There is no dyamic link between the reviewer and approved comment.
